2) Avoid Salty Foods - Eating foods high in salt (sodium) causes bloating and water retention. Our biochemistry follows the rule that water always will follow salt. Common foods high in sodium are packaged and convenience foods.
3) Sweat - I like to think of sweat as 'the tears of fat.' Sweating helps the body rid itself of toxins through the skin, burns calories, shunts blood away from digestion into working muscles, and gives us added motivation to keep with healthy habits and a good diet.
4) Avoid Enriched Carbohydrates - Enriched carbohydrates, in my opinion, are the number #1 reason for obesity and the sequela of chronic diseases that follow. Common enriches carbohydrates most commonly come in the form of white bread and enriched pastas. These foods tend to be overeaten causing a high calorie intake and leave our body feeling hungry as they spike our blood sugar fast! Avoid these like the plague and you will see your belly shrink and energy levels rise!
5) Avoid the Late Night Munchies - Eating late at night can affect our sleep interfering with our normal repair processes. Also these late night snacks disrupt the release of our natural Human Growth Hormone which helps burn fat and increase muscle.
